November 20 & 27, 2017

Family,
This week was a good week. It was definitely more of a normal week! Our mission has a goal to help 36 people enter into the waters of baptism this transfer. To help with that we are doing a transfer long fast as a mission. Each day 2 companionship's will fast until the end of the transfer. It was our zones week to fast and we saw a lot of miracles from it!

Yesterday at church there was a missionary homecoming talk and there were 2 nonmembers who came to it. One lady was in her 50's and she had a 26 year old daughter who came with her. After sacrament the members introduced her to us and she was telling us how she is interested in learning more about the gospel. She was adopted and just recently she had the chance to meet her birth family. She found out that she is a direct descendant of Parley P Pratt! She was super excited about this. She said she needed to find out more about what her family believes in and more about Mormons. She is super awesome and way prepared. We are definitely excited about that!

This Thursday from 9 am until 12 we will meet with the south half of the mission and play sports like last year. I'm excited for that it was fun. Last year I wore shorts and my boots and everyone is expecting me to wear them again this year. I don't know if I will or not. ha ha it is starting to rain a lot more here. Winter is starting to come. It is so crazy to think that it is already the holiday season again. I'm excited. I love this time of year in the mission field. Peoples hearts tend to be a little softer.

This time of year is a great time to really think about the things that you are thankful for and then give thanks for them. I am thankful for my awesome family and friends and all of the love and support. I am also super grateful for this opportunity that I have to be on a mission. I'm grateful for the things that I am learning and for how much I have grown. I'm most grateful for our loving Heavenly Father and for all that he gives to us and for our Savior Jesus Christ and for His Atoning sacrifice.

This time of year I think a lot of us do give thanks for the things we have but I think we should all remember what we learn in Alma 34:38.

That we should live in thanks giving daily. Let us not forget the things that we are grateful for after the holidays are over but to continue to give thanks for the things we are blessed with.
I love you all and hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving!!

Family,
This week was a good week! Even though not a lot happened. We went on an exchange with one of the companionships in our Zone which was pretty good. One of the Elders goes home soon so he is pretty trunky.

Thanksgiving went really well! Yes. I did wear my boots and shorts to play basketball. I also took my tennis shoes. It was a lot of fun. I didn't know like hardly anyone there. We have so many new missionaries that have come out recently and I was in one zone my whole mission until now. So I have not met a lot of missionaries. So it was kinda cool to meet a lot more people.

We had Thanksgiving dinner with 3 member families. So there were a lot of people there. We got talking about family history and we got on the "find a relative" app and found out I was 4th cousins with one of the members there. So that was cool.

I'm trying to think of what else happened this week but not much. We haven't been able to meet with our investigators they have been sick and out of town. We think one is even ignoring us. So that's kinda lame. Everything is going good and we are having a good time!

I love you all and miss you!
I hope you all have a good week!!
