April 30, 2018

Monday-
Last Monday for our p-day we had fun. There is a member here in Federal Way that owns a sub zero. They let the missionaries go every p-day and get free ice cream. So that is really cool! Later that night we went to a lesson we had set with (D) who was a potential we found on Saturday. We had talked with her a little bit about God's plan for our happiness. She had a lot of questions and today we were able to teach her the Plan of Salvation. She was so open and receptive and is in the best place right now. She already has a faith in Christ but nothing much past that. Her family has not attended church much so she wants to learn more! At the end of the lesson she was so excited to have us come back. It was pretty cool how we found her we went to try a former in an apartment complex and we ended up knocking on the wrong door because we got the apartment #s mixed up. We know it wasn't a coincidence that we knocked on her door. We were led there by a loving Heavenly Father who is watching over all of his children. He will help us find those whom he has been preparing!

Tuesday-
We had our district meetings. This zone is bigger then any of the other zones I have served in so there are 3 districts. We get to go to all three of them as well so it makes for a pretty long day but they are really good. Ever since I got here we have been really busy. Which is good. But it's hard to keep up with things. After district meetings we ran down to a lesson we had with (J) who is one of our investigators. We taught him about the Book of Mormon and invited him to be baptized. He declined at this time because he says he has already been baptized. He did commit to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and help "see where it goes from there." We wish we had more time to talk with him about it but he will get there. After that lesson we met up with the Assistants to go on an exchange. I went with Elder Christensen to Clark Lake in Kent. The rest of the night I was on a split with his ward mission leader Brother Smith who've I've never met. We went and visited families I knew nothing about. ha ha Oh, how I love the things you do on missions.

Wednesday-
Wednesday we finished up the exchange with the Assistants which went good. Elder Christensen and I were able to find a new investigator for them. We met him out walking his dog and he asked us if we had any tips for him on how he could draw closer to Jesus Christ because that is something he has been looking for. We were able to teach him the restoration and committed him to be baptized as well! It was pretty cool.

Thursday was full of planning and a lot of finding. We went to a apartment complex that is massive to visit a potential. As we were walking up to one of the buildings. 5 little kids came running out yelling, "missionaries, missionaries" they were so excited to see us and we were confused because we didn't know who they were. It turns out that their mother is the one that we were going to visit. The previous missionaries used to go and teach them all the time. Their family invited us in and we were able to teach them more about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon. They committed to read it which is super exciting they are an awesome family.

Friday-
Our day on Friday was super empty so we went and did a lot of finding. We found a few new investigators. It is easier to find investigators here but it is hard to find people who are solid and willing to keep commitments though. The people here are willing to listen to what we have to say but not all of them are willing to commit to any invitation. We meet a lot of cool people of all sorts of backgrounds which is cool.

On Saturday evening our ward had a youth fundraiser that was fun. All the youth 12 and older did talent shows and had dinner and dessert for everyone to raise money for a trip they have coming up this summer. There was also a silent auction going on as well. It was combined with the Spanish branch so they did some cool traditional dances. Every Saturday night a member in the ward has a "dart night" where tons of people from the ward invite other friends to his home. He has a big "man cave" in his garage he has lots of drinks and food and we play darts. Lots of non members come and it is open to talk about the church so we are able to invite them to come to church with us.

Sunday-
We were pretty sad at church on Sunday because none of our investigators showed up. We are not sure what is keeping then from coming. They don't really have an excuse, they just don't come. So that's is what we will be focusing on this next week is getting people out to church.

That was our week in a nut shell. I'm loving Federal Way and Elder Wright is a stud too. I hope you all are doing good back at home. I am excited for Ty and his call!!
I love you all and hope you have a good week! Thanks for all you do.

(S) is doing pretty good. He missed his return appointment but we rescheduled for another day. (P) we cant get a hold of.

I have watched Ty's mission call video like 10 times today. It's good. He is gonna love it. Did anyone guess that he was going to go there? There were a lot of people there!! Ty looks huge!

I have a camera I can send home for Ty. It is the nice one you sent me. I used for like a month only. I will buy a SD card out here and put it in it and send it home. I will take pictures on it for him!! So don't buy him a camera. I am going to film me doing some object lessons or something that I have learned on my mission so that he can have them!!

Man I am so excited for Ty!! That is going to be so exciting!! 4 years is going to be a long time of not seeing him.

Have a good week. I love you all !!

April 23, 2018

Tuesday-
I got transferred to Federal Way!! We taught a lesson to (R) who is a DJ. It was a pretty good lesson we taught about the Book of Mormon and the Plan of Salvation. He's a good guy but just has a hard time retaining the information. We then had a meeting with President Keney who is the Stake President and also President Rassmussen the mission President. We have this meeting once a month to talk about the work that is going on within the zone which is a lot! I'm so excited for this transfer.

Wednesday-

I love it here!! This is what I think I thought my mission was going to be like.

We are just up here in da hood / city and there is more diversity here then I have ever seen in my life. I talked to more people today who didn't speak English the I have my whole mission combined.( Well tried to talk to at least.)

Not only that but we were finding investigators too!! We were tracting in some big homes down on the Puget Sound (ocean, so pretty!) We met this guy named (S). He is a African American midget!! He was sweet! He just let us teach him right there on the spot and that has like hardly ever happened on my mission. It's like a totally different culture here. We taught about prophets and the Book of Mormon and he committed to read and we will be going back next Thursday! We talked to more people today though then I usually do in a transfer. It felt so good though. I just constantly felt like I was fulfilling my purpose all day. It was so fun! I love this gospel and I love Federal Way!

Thursday-
We had a lesson with a less active member. It was a pretty good lesson and we went planning on teaching about the sacrament and church. It was really cool because he had already made some personal goals to come out and attend all three hours of church from now on. So that was cool! We also got a new investigator named (P). We found him at 8:45 right before we went in. We had some extra time and so we went and walked the highway and found him at one of the bus stops. He let us teach him right there on the spot which was cool!

Friday-
Friday... we were off ha ha We had the sisters in our zone ask us of we could come and give a blessing to one of their investigators that was having a hard time. So we went over Friday morning and I was able to give her a blessing. It was a pretty special moment and then we helped her pack some things because she had to leave her house with her 2 kids. As we were leaving... it was 9:04, some of the other missionaries asked us what time interviews with the President started. I looked at Elder Wright and I'm like no way are interviews today. We had totally forgotten about them and they started at 9:00  ha ha So we had to rush home change into our suits and then head to the church. Luckily we were giving a blessing and Presidents is pretty understanding. It was funny.

Saturday-
Saturday was fun. We had our festival of finding day but we did it a little bit different. From 9-12 there was a federal way service day at celebration park and the community was coming together to clean up the park. There was like 500 people there it was pretty cool. So as a zone we went and helped and there was a lot of members there as well.

Sunday-
Sunday is always good in a new area because it's a time to get to know all of the new members. It's a good ward but it's an old ward. There are not many youth which is different from my last area. (We had 60 young women and 40 young men) But it is a good ward.

I'm loving this new area though. It's so much easier to find people to teach here. Of course every area has its struggles and here it's finding people who will keep there return appointments. We are working with quite a few people so that is good. There was so much that happened this week. There is no way to write it all. But I'm doing good!

This area is super pretty too. I'll send some pictures. We are right on the Puget Sound and we go down to Redondo Beach and contact people out on the pier. It's pretty fun!
Thank you all for all you do. I love you and have a good week!
Elder Ethan Wayne Stucki

~I bet Ty is getting anxious. That's exciting. Also those two packages idk if you opened them or not but if you haven't you don't need to. You can just keep them boxed until I get home. It is just books I don't need anymore and then a lot of clothing items I still want!!  So they can stay boxed and not be given to the brothers!! I want them still when I get home.

There is definitely a different vibe. Puyallup at least the area I was in was all just residential and big nice homes. Federal way is the city so a lot more people and a lot of apartments and a beach and just a lot different. I like it.

Our apartment is pretty small but its okay. We are in cars. Zone leaders always have cars which is nice. Yeah just the same it's getting split June 30. Federal Way will be in the Seattle Mission. So most likely I will be going to the Seattle mission.

Yes I do have to go. I hope you all have a good week. I love and miss you all! Your awesomer!!

Family,
Sorry this letter is going to be a little boy shorter but there really wasn't a ton that happened this week. This week was a pretty empty week. Wednesday we went and did a blitz with the Sumner Elders. I went with one and Elder Delp went with the other and we just went tracting and trying to find new people. We ended up finding 6 potentials for them to go back to so that was pretty good.

Saturday we went on an exchange. I went to Clark's Creek area with Elder Ramos. He is pretty new. He just had his second transfer. It was a good exchange but super wet!! We were on bike and it rained all day. I was soaked to the bone. But it was good we ended up tracting onto a less active member who they didn't even know was there and they don't have his records but he was a super cool guy and knows he needs to go back. So hopefully they can continue to work with him.

I did end up getting transferred! I'm really going to miss this ward and the members they are super awesome. I will also miss our apartment because it's a way nice apartment. It's only been a missionary apartment for 2 years so it's new and still super clean and in a nice area. But I'm excited to move on and go to some new areas!! I'll be going to Federal Way which is in the city and I'll be in the north for the first time in my mission so it will be fun!

I love you all and hope you have a good week and that all is going well back home

Thank you for all that you do. I love, love, love you!!

Family,

Wednesday we had our zone conference which was pretty good. Since we have technology now there is a new chapter in Preach My Gospel which replaces the old chapter 8 and it talks about how to plan effectively with technology so they went over that a lot. Our portion of it was mainly focused on finding and what we can do to find new investigators.

Thursday was pretty exciting! We were able to have (K) baptismal interview in which she passed. So her baptism will be this Saturday! We are pretty excited. She was fun to teach!

Friday was just a day full of finding and talking with past potentials and what not.

Saturday was a really good day!! We had breakfast at a less active members home that we have been trying to meet with for a long while. He is a super cool guy and his house is crazy nice!! It's actually his mom's house but it's right on the lake and just to put it in perspective... the master bathroom cost $350,000 dollars!!! Three hundred and fifty thousand dollars!!! That's ridiculous. It was crazy nice but holy cow you don't need that. ha ha It was pretty legit. The whole house was cool!

Best part of the day though was (K) baptism!! The (B) family is just awesome. I love them all and it was a pretty special day for them. We got to be the witnesses and her dad baptized her.

Sunday was also a pretty special day as we got to be a part of confirming her a member of the church. It was after sacrament in the Bishops office. It was a really cool experience and there is a lot to the story. You'll just have to ask about it when I get home.

We were also able to teach a mission prep class early Sunday morning which was fun. We had a super powerful lesson with Sister (N) Sunday night at a members home. (A different religion) has been going by her house lately and have been giving Sister (N) a hard time about meeting with us. It is pretty sad because it has raised a lot of questions about things that are untrue. Luckily Sister (N) isn't one to believe anyone's words and she will go to the source to find her answer. She is ready to be baptized and it just comes down to the fact that she needs to pray and get the confirmation for herself that she needs to be baptized. The Spirit was so strong in the lesson and I promised if she would pray with real intent she would have an answer before we met with her again. The words just came out of my mouth but the Spirit was strong and was in control of the lesson and I know if she does so she will receive an answer. So we are excited for our next lesson to see how it goes.

I'm so grateful for this time I have to be on a mission and for all the things I have learned. The miracles I have seen and the promises I have seen fulfilled. I don't write about them much because they are pretty special to me. But all these things have strengthened my testimony so much!! I love this gospel. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I know they are there and that they love each and every one of us despite our imperfections and our transgressions. I'm grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and for the strengthening and enabling power that comes from it because this work would not move on without it. I know that President Nelson is a prophet and what a blessing it is to know that he is and that he has been called of God. It's such a wonderful knowledge that we have and I hope we all realize it. I love you all and I'm so appreciative for all that you do for me. I hope you all have a good week!!
The family sounds like they are doing good!! When is Ty going to tell the family about his call? Just when he gets it? I think I have decided what I'm going to do. I want to be a vet. It is something I have thought about a lot and it would just be so fun. I would love it. I don't know... I don't have to think about that yet but I've just been feeling that really strong lately. I hope Dylan is dating. I want him to get married that would be fun.  Ya I feel like Ty is going to go foreign.
I hope you all have a good week love you tons!!

Family,

Sorry I didn't do such a good job at writing a little every night but there was not a lot that happened missionary wise this week. We were super busy with a lot of meetings.

We were sad because we had like 6 return appointments this week to go back and visit with people. We had found from tracting the week before but we only found 1 at home. Her name is (D) We talked with her a ton about the Book of Mormon I think I wrote a little about her last week. We answered a lot of her questions and she committed to read 3 Nephi 11. Well as we went back to her home she comes walking out on her porch with the Book of Mormon in her hands and says that she didn't read and that she is to busy and likes her own church. She proceeded to hand me back the Book of Mormon... so I put my hands in my pockets cause I wasn't going to accept back the Book of Mormon of course! I already have one and she needs one. ha ha

We then invited her to keep it which opened up a conversation about why are we so persistent with reading the Book of Mormon. So we taught her again the importance of it and how it can bless her and her families life. She then expressed some concerns that she had about the Mormon church. One of her friends said that "the only reason they are members is to have multiple wives." I'm sure it was probably a joke but she thought that they were serious. It was a really good conversation. We were able to resolve her concerns and she again committed to read the Book of Mormon. It was really cool because she said at the end that she feels like something is trying to pull her to read the book. So that was really cool to see her attitude change and watch the spirit work in her.

The rest of the week was just busy work. Thursday was planning and a meeting. Friday was MLC which took all day with travel time. Saturday and Sunday were General Conference which took up our days as well.

I really enjoyed General Conference and the Solemn Assembly was amazing. Throughout this week I have been praying for the confirmation that President Nelson is the Lord's chosen and anointed prophet on the earth today. As I was able to stand with all of the other members of the Elders Quorum around the world and raise my hand to sustain President Nelson as prophet seer and revelator, the spirit filled the chapel and an unmistakable feeling of peace, confidence and assurance filled my heart and my body. I know that President Nelson has been called as Christs prophet today. I again along with President Nelson invite each of you to continue to study the talks that were given during conference. I know there is so much more to be learned from the talks as we study them in our homes once conference is over. I was able to read all of last conference talks before this conference and the insight I gained from doing so surpassed all the things I learned just from listening the first time.

I love you all and I am grateful for all of the love and support that you give to me. I hope you all have a good week!!

~Easter was really good and general conference was amazing as always! Elder Hollands talk will be a good one to talk about. He is funny ha ha Yes I did get my packages and thank you very much for them! I sent the video ha ha I was trying to send it to me but it was filmed on an Ipad so it could only send through Imessage and we don't have iPhone and it was to long for email so I just sent it to you hahah but save the video I want it!

Is Ty doing good!!? Is he going to get a call soon? If so I guess Chile

Thank you for all that you do. I love you tons. Have a good week!!

March 26, 2018

 Family,
Tuesday was a pretty good day. We had some really good district meetings we went to. They were on how to receive revelation through the Book of Mormon. After our district meeting we went on exchanges with the assistance. I went to Kent with Elder Jacobsen who is also from St George. His parents just moved to Draper, Utah. So that is were he will be going home to. Kent is wild. It's the city and I haven't ever served really anywhere close to the city. It is a totally different kind of missionary work and there are just so many people to talk to! It's so nice. You can talk to people all day long.

We taught a lesson that night to a guy named (M) who is from Kenya. He was taught by the missionaries in Kenya. He moved here 2 weeks ago and told the missionaries in Kenya that he hopes he would be able to find the church here in the US. He moved within a half of a mile of the church building!! Pretty sweet. So he showed up at church and wanted to be baptized. He has a date for April 14. It was pretty cool to be able to teach him.

Wednesday I was back in my area. We did a lot of tracting and found a pretty sweet potential. We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon. Kinda the same deal as last week we were able to answer all of her concerns about it and she accepted a book of Mormon and we get to follow up with her next week!

We also had our last lesson with (K) as well. We taught her about fasting and fast offerings and reviewed the baptismal interview questions. She will be getting baptized on March 31st!! In between conference sessions so that Saturday will be full of a lot of good events!! It will be exciting.

Thursday was full of our weekly planning and then a bunch of finding. We found another sweet lady named (D) that we taught the Book of Mormon to. As we have been going out tracting we have been focusing mainly on the Book of Mormon. Ever since Elder Costa came to our mission. Most people here know what the Book of Mormon is or have heard of it I should say. Mostly from the play. So we have tell them there are a lot of misconceptions about what the Book of Mormon is. So we teach them what it really is. It has been cool. We have learned that people don't really know what the Book of Mormon is about. So we teach them that it is about prophets and apostles testifying of Christ many hundred of years before he actually came. People have been more interested. It's funny we will read them scriptures and they will be like "wait what? That was In the book of Mormon??" Then we will say yes and show it to them and we have had several people ask us this week for a Book of Mormon. Before we even offer one to them ha ha. So we have been super blessed this week as we have used the Book of Mormon more in our teachings!!

Friday we had dinner with our investigator Sister (N) which was super fun. We got there and the food wasn't done so we helped her cook and get everything ready and set up. It was fun. She's like another grandma to us. She reminds me of Grandma Stucki. (sorry hopefully grandma doesn't get mad I wrote this ha ha) but while we were there Sister (N) dropped something and swore and then she covered her mouth and said sorry like 5 times then started laughing. It just reminded me of Grandma because she does the same thing. ha ha

We also had a lesson with a recent convert family that was baptized about 9 months ago. We try and work with them pretty frequently because they can definitely still use the visits and just the boost of faith.

Saturday I was on an exchange with an Elder in his area. The Elder is struggling so there wasn't much that happened...

Sunday was fun. An early Easter Sunday. Troy Stucki gave a talk in church he is the one that wears the crazy suits. But he gave a talk and he used a lot of story's out of John S. Stucki's journal and it was kinda funny because he mentioned me and said how I am a direct descendent of John S Stucki. He is not directly related to him. But it was a good talk and he shared a lot of good stories.

Speaking of good talks next week is General Conference!! What a wonderful opportunity we have to listen to the Lord's chosen Apostles and Prophets and to hear the guidance and council that they have for us right now in this day and age!! I think of King Benjamin, he said something that is very applicable to us for this upcoming conference and for every conference for that matter, back when he gathered all of his people before he passed away.
Mosiah 2:9 he says,

"My brethren, all ye that have assembled yourselves together, you that can hear my words which I shall speak unto you this day; for I have not commanded you to come up hither to trifle with the words which I shall speak, but that you should hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view."

I invite all of you to spend this week thinking and preparing for General Conference. Think about any questions you might have whether it be a spiritual question or something that you are needing guidance with in life or just any question you might have. And then do as King Benjamin said, and open your ears that you can hear and your hearts that you can understand and your minds as well and I promise that the mysteries of God will be unfolded to your view! You will receive answers you are looking for as you prayerfully ponder the words of our prophets! I hope each of you do this and I'll be looking forward to hopefully hearing about some of them!!

Other then that we are just looking forward to this week. We have 6 return appointments to go back to of people we have found this last week tracting. That is the most appointments I've had yet in this area so we are stoked.

Thank you all for the love and support. I love you all!! Make sure you prepare for conference and watch it and learn!!

March 19, 2018

Family,

Wednesday was a pretty good day. It was not so productive for missionary work, but it was still good. We were able to go and do service for someone for the first time in a long time which was nice. We went and helped a family spread mulch in their yard. It was nice to get out and work for a little bit and hopefully now that the weather is getting better we will be able to have more opportunities to serve. I'll tell ya what though I'm out of shape!! We only got to help for like an hour before we had to go to interviews with President and I woke up so sore the next morning. haha

We had interviews with President Rasmussen this week and those are always super good... but way long! We have to coordinate all of the interview times and then wait while everyone gets interviewed so we were there from 12:30 until 5:30. But it's nice because we get to see everyone in the zone as they come through and just see how everyone is doing.

On Thursday as we were planning to go tracting we were looking where we have not been and we have done a ton of finding so we have knocked like all of the neighborhoods and things like that. So most of what we haven't knocked are like long driveways with mansions at the end of them right on the lake. There are a ton of them. That is like what our area is. So we felt like we should go to this one specific area. I was honestly kinda dreading it because you know that scripture "it's easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle then a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." ?
... Yeah well I've seen that to be true here. A lot of the people in this area are pretty well off and comfortable and not interested in changing.

We went up to this house that was sweet! It was massive and had a huge yard on the lake. They had a tree house that went like 40 feet up into the trees with a slide from the top down into the lake. It was pretty cool. Well we met this lady at the door named (C) she was in her 40's and was just a nice lady. She recognized who we were immediately and just kinda lead the conversation and brought up the Book of Mormon and had a ton of false ideas of what the Book of Mormon is. She asked a ton of questions and then she would let us answer! Oh...  it's so nice when people will let us answer their questions. We were able to explain and answer her questions and by the end of our conversation she was asking for a Book of Mormon and our names and phone number!! It was super cool. The Book of Mormon is so powerful and when people actually understand what it is they will read it. And it will bless there lives.

Saturday I met the most Christlike lady of all time! Besides mom. But we were out visiting less active members that we didn't know and we came to a house that looked just like a regular house and we knocked on the door and we were looking for a lady named (T) When we knocked the door was answered by an older autistic gentlemen and as I looked in I could see it wasn't an ordinary home but like an assisted living for autistic people. A nurse came to the door who is a gal from Kenya. We asked for (T) It was kinda funny because she pointed and said that's (T). We looked over and an old autistic lady in her 50's came running straight at us with her arms in the air crying and yelling "Brothers! Brothers!" she gave us hugs -  it was funny. She wanted us to take her to lunch but we obviously couldn't. We got talking to the lady from Kenya named (L) and she lives in this home and takes care of 8 autistic adults. 24/7. They call her mom. She was constantly busy helping them with things. I don't know how she does it, but it was the coolest thing I've seen! She has more charity then anyone. It was awesome. We were talking to her briefly and she has a strong faith in Christ and loves the bible. We talked about prophets with her and she is interested in learning more so we will be going back next week!!

That was about it for this week. I love you all and hope you have a good week!

Tell dad happy birthday again!!

Family,

This week has been pretty slow. We were able to meet with our investigator Sister (N) which was really good. She has been super busy lately just trying to get bills paid after her husband's death and just trying to get her life figured out right now.  We were also able to teach a couple lessons to (K) which was way good. She's awesome and we will probably be having a baptism for her pretty soon. Her parents are just trying to find a day that all the family will be able to make it.

On Saturday we had the Festival of Finding. The whole mission goes out finding from 10 am - 5:00 pm. It was good. It was like the first super nice day we have had this year. It was clear and warm so that was nice. We also went to another Marshallese baptism in the branch Elder Delp used to serve in. It's so funny going to them. They are not formal at all. The Marshallese people are super flaky so they never ask people to give a talk before hand because they will say yes but then just won't show up. So they just ask people when they get there. In this case there were not to many people there so they asked me to give one of the talks. ha ha On the bright side there were not to many people there so it wasn't a big deal. They are fun baptisms to go to.

Sunday was just a good day of church and a lot of meetings. We had 2 investigators there as well which was good. The investigators we are teaching are doing good but they are just moving a long kinda slowly. But still forward!!! So that is good! (K) is doing awesome and will get baptized pretty soon. I'm sure.

Monday was amazing!! We basically had a full day of being taught by President and Sister Rasmussen and Elder and Sister Costa!! Elder Claudio R.M. Costa is a General Authority. One of the 70. Right now he is assigned to work in the missionary department. So it was really cool to hear from him. He's a funny man and just so full of wisdom and knowledge. It was so fun to learn from him and his thick Brazilian accent. We had a devotional with him from 9:00 - 3:00. After that we were able to have a special MLC meeting with him as well. So we learned a lot from him today!!

I love hearing from the Lord's anointed servants! I am so grateful that we have them here and for the knowledge that we have of living prophets and apostles. Something that was talked about a lot at the devotional is the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is so essential in our lives today! We need it now more then ever. We know that it was written for us in our day. It is so important that we don't take it for granted but that we read from it, we study it, and we ponder it's message!

I have grown to love the Book of Mormon so much! I have a goal to read it everyday for the rest of my life. So when I see you all when I get home you all better follow up with me on that!!! Keep me accountable. I have this goal because I have seen how much it has blessed me as I have read it each day here in the mission. I have felt the love of God and the tender mercies of the Atonement of Jesus Christ as I have read it each day. That is something we all need in our lives. We don't want to go on this journey through mortality without the blessings that come through the Book of Mormon and without the knowledge of the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can gain from the pages of the Book of Mormon. I'm preaching... but this is important to me! I know the Book of Mormon is true!! I know God is real, that he sent His son here for us. For our benefit. And that it is only through Christ that we can return to live with Him again.

Please continue to read the Book of Mormon or start if you haven't been. Gain a testimony for yourself that these things are true. Continue to ask God if they are true EVEN if you already have a testimony. He will continue to manifest the truth of it to you! I love the Book of Mormon. I love this gospel. I love my Savior. I love all of you!!
I'm sorry for ranting and preaching but I'm tired and I just got done with a long day of sitting at the feet and learning from a General Authority and I'm just feeling the Spirit and I gotta share it. I love you all and hope you have a good week!!!

**I have lost 15 lbs since my last area so that is probably another reason why my shirts seem big on me right now. I could use some more razors and the shave oil stuff. I would like it if you can get that again

Okay. I love you all have a good week!!

(this is the backyard of someone we taught)

Family,

Tuesday was a really good day! We had our district meetings which were really good. We took the first 20 minutes and talked to the zone about how things are going and set some new goals to improve. The past 2 weeks have been really tough as a zone. In the past 2 weeks we have only found 1 new investigator as a zone. There are 6 companionship. Normally we find around 5 as a zone each week. But we set some good goals to improve. We also started teaching (K) she is 9 years old.  Her family are members and they are a super awesome family!! She has been wanting to get baptized for a long time and we are now beginning to teach her so we are super excited!!

Wednesday I was on an exchange.
Thursday was a lot of time in the apartment. We had our normal daily studies then we had our weekly planning which is 3 hours and then on top of that we had 2 hours of entering information from the area book into our phones. So we were in most of the day.
Friday was also a very busy day with mission leadership council or "MLC" that takes up most the day. We didn't get back until 6:00. It was good though.

Saturday was wide open though. We had nothing planned so we did a lot of finding through formers and potentials. It's also weird now being on Facebook and having things to do on there. We can now teach people who don't even live within our area or even the mission. I was able to contact a recent convert. I had to see if we could start teaching her brother because she had mentioned in the past that he was beginning to be interested! So it's been pretty cool!

Sunday is always good. It's usually a pretty busy day with church and then a lot of meetings but it's nice to have a full day. We got a call from a member in Wyoming who has a daughter and a grandson who live here in our area who are interested in the gospel so that was exciting. We are going to start teaching them next Monday. It was also transfer calls tonight. I thought I was going to get transferred because I have been in each of my areas for 3 transfers and I just finished my 3rd transfer here... but nope I'm staying another one! I will also being staying another one with Elder Delp. So it will be the longest I've ever been in an area and also the longest I've been with a companion. But I'm excited because we should have some of our investigators getting baptized this transfer!!

Monday was pretty good for it being a Monday. It wasn't our pday with it being transfers this week so our day was pretty open. We did a lot of finding and ended up tracting a street. And we are glad we did and we are done with it also because the people weren't to interested. ha ha It was pretty interesting.

We went to a former investigators home that was just wild. We read the information about him. It said something along the lines of his house is sketch and he's always in need of service. So we went... His house was SKETCH... it was actually a massive home but it didn't look quite complete on the outside. We knocked on the door and some man in his 50's came to the door and said, "the door was open - just come in" so of course we go in. The house was jam packed of everything you could possibly think of and the house was just plywood. It wasn't finished. You could see the trusses, the wires running through the walls and there was no installation. It wasn't just like this guy is building a home and it's not finished yet but this house is probably over 15 years old so things are getting old. It was pretty wild. He was a crazy nice guy though.

That was about our week. Nothing else to terribly exciting happened. I'm looking forward to this next transfer and to hopefully have some baptisms go through!! Thank you all for your love and support!! I love you all!!

also so you know.

pday will be Tuesday the 13th next week as well cause we have a General Authority, Elder Costa coming on Monday.

Preach My Gospel just got a new chapter to it that will be related to phone use but it applies to a lot of things and how the things we learn here will bless us in our lives when we go home!

Gotta go have a good week. I love you all!!
